The Blog Buzz for Red Letters Campaign has asked us:
Read and respond to this verse in Proverbs 21:13 “Whoever stops his ears at the cry of the poor will cry out himself and not be heard.“
For me this verse has deep meaning. So often in America, we do not see poverty daily. In turn we choose to ignore it. We turn our backs on the poor and hurting. We would rather not see it. It is easier to live in "our bubbles" then to really face the reality of our world.
There are 143,000 MILLION orphans in this world. Many people cannot even fathom this number. Or they choose to ignore it. Please watch this video below. I think it puts this number into great perspective.
